I am a classically trained ballet dancer who records diaristic, improvisational dances and scenes in my domestic setting. Typically these pieces are made at moments when emotions need an outlet and are not planned. As someone who is not good with words, dance has always been my means of expression. I compose the music after the dance is completed to reflect the movements and the impetus to move at that moment. Ballet is typically performed for an audience, but I hope through these recordings that even a camera quickly propped up in an apartment can replace the audience.
